Nahuatl Tlahtocan
Nahuatl Tlahtocan is a space for individuals who are interested in learning about Nahuatl language and culture. Nahuatl is a native Mexican language that was spoken by the Azteca people, such as the Mexica, prior to the Spanish Conquest and colonization. Today, Nahuatl is spoken by over 1.5 million people. Contrary to what many people might think, Nahuatl is a language and not a "dialecto" or dialect, although Nahuatl does have many dialects depending on what region the language is spoken in. I am not a native Nahuatl speaker but I have been studying the language for over 10 years. This channel will primarily focus on Classical Nahuatl. With that said, if you speak Nahuatl and notice that I have made a mistake somewhere, please feel free to correct me.
Nahuatl Tlahtocan was originally created as a student organization at San Francisco State University in 2017 but now lives on in this YouTube channel. Ximopanolti, welcome to Nahuatl Tlahtocan.
