Aili Maimaiti
Aili Maimaiti (b. 1989, Xinjiang, China) is a painter, muralist, printmaker, and photographer based in New York. His work explores the emotional depth of human experience through an intuitive, process-driven approach. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing, where he studied under professors Kong Liang, Li Xiaolin, and Li Fan. In 2016 he attended Virginia Christian University for a master’s degree. He later studied painting and color with Larry Poons at the Art Students League of New York.
