Bow Seat: Creative Action for Conservation
Creative Action for Conservation is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit that educates and engages young people in ocean conservation and advocacy through the arts.
Our signature program is an annual Ocean Awareness Contest engaging tens of thousands of youth globally.
We believe that changing our world starts by inspiring and energizing the next generation of ocean caretakers to vividly imagine a better future. Our programs center the creative arts as vital tools to learn about issues impacting our environment, connect more deeply with nature, and bring communities together to care for our blue planet.
Bow Seat was founded by Linda Cabot in 2011. Since then, Bow Seat has engaged nearly 18,000 youth from all 50 U.S. states and more than 100 countries through educational initiatives such as the Ocean Awareness Contest, the Future Blue Youth Council, and monthly webinars.
