World Food India

Recognizing the potential of the food processing sector in transforming India into the food basket of the world, the MoFPI, GoI, has adopted measures to channel investments into various subsegments. These include backward linkages, food processing equipment, processing-related R&D, cold chain storage solutions, start-ups, logistics, and retail chains, covering the entire food processing value chain.

To introduce the world to the world to India’s rich food culture and promoting investment in the country’s diverse food processing sector, the MoFPI launched the first edition of World Food India in 2017. In celebration of 2023 as the International Year of Millets and to bring the global food processing industry together, the Ministry organized the second edition of WFI in 2023 and the third edition in 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Moving on, WFI 2025 is set to bring in more opportunities to connect, showcase, and collaborate from 25th to 28th September 2025.
