Zayed Award for Human Fraternity

The Zayed Award for Human Fraternity recognizes profound contributions to peaceful coexistence and human progress.

The award celebrates individuals and entities of all backgrounds who lead by example in promoting respect for diversity and advocating for a culture of peace.
Honoring the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founder of the United Arab Emirates, the award is committed to supporting those who are working tirelessly to make a difference by building bridges and strengthening human connection.

The award was established in February 2019 to mark the historic meeting in Abu Dhabi between the head of the Catholic Church, His Holiness Pope Francis, and His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Professor Ahmed Al-Tayeb, to co-sign the Document on Human Fraternity.
The Document on Human Fraternity is a powerful call for all people to put aside their differences and join hands in pursuit of progress through understanding and peace.
