TONIK Tap

TONIK Tap is Northwestern University's first tap dance company. We come from all over the world, and we study all different things, but there's nothing like coming together to do what we do best: make rhythm. And have fun doing it!

We are completely student-directed, student-produced, student-choreographed, and student-performed! We hold auditions every fall, and throughout the year, we choreograph our own work and perform at various Northwestern and Chicagoland events. We love to share the joys of tap dancing with others, so we teach free classes throughout the year! We have collaborated with hip hop crews, contemporary companies, and acapella groups, and we've even danced on contact explosives! Our videos are pieces from our bi-annual shows.
