Afghan Keyboardist, Music Educator and Music Producer.
Mahroof Sharif, a name that has been perpetually used as one of Afghanistan’s young, successful musical talents; recognized for his creative and revolutionary approach of keyboard performance. Currently residing in Virginia, born and raised in New York. He began music at the tender age of 4, playing tabla and drums. His videos are on YouTube where he has played with Ehsan Aman at the age of 4, Said Omar age of 8 and Habib Qaderi at the age of 11 on the tabla. His passion for keyboards grew at the age of 11, when he would watch for hours Afghan concert videos. His biggest influences of keyboard were Ali Etemadi and Khaled Kayhan who were pioneers at the time.
Mahroof, 34, has toured and performed worldwide with the top tier of Afghan, Indian, Pakistani and Iranian artists.
