Hi, my name is Hugh, I created this channel to highlight my car restoration project. I'm a 20 year Royal Australian Navy Fleet Air Arm veteran with an engineering design background. I purchased a run to the ground 100/4 Austin Healey which was last driven in about 1978. By the condition I believe it was pushed under a plum tree and left to rot for a further 20 years.
I'm now retired and have the time to finish it - my motto is 'if I can possibly make it myself I will' hence I have a workshop with basic machining, fitting and welding machinery to suit doing it 'my way'. I've been asked by friends to document my restoration style and thought perhaps other like-minded people would enjoy the process. Whilst most welding and manufacturing of parts have been completed there is still some way to go before completion.
