Central Institute of Family Medicine

Central Institute of Family Medicine is an S.E.C.P. registered organization established for the promotion of family medicine and the education of family physicians.
Its scope encompasses arranging training for family physicians, Continuing Medical Education (CME), Continuous Professional Development (CPD), Train-the-Trainer courses, preparatory courses for post-graduate family medicine exams, and teaching undergraduate students.
It also deals with establishing clinics for family physicians and facilitating family physicians in practice management. CIFM also trains and recruits faculty of family medicine throughout Pakistan. It provides consultation and advice to both government and non-government medical teaching institutions on matters related to family medicine. It provides capacity-building short courses for other postgraduate trainees in research, synopsis, and dissertation writing and publications.
