Andrew Ng
Andrew Ng is an undergraduate at Northwestern University. He began learning the trombone at the age of five and is now studying bass trombone under Michael Mulcahy, Randall Hawes, Douglas Wright, and Reed Capshaw.
With the goal of becoming a bass trombone soloist, he has found success in many competitions. Andrew won the 2021 Southeast Trombone Symposium Youth Competition and was a finalist in the 2021 International Trombone Festival George Roberts Bass Trombone Solo Competition. He was also the winner of the Tom Lee Music Prize for Brass Concerto Class and the Trombone Senior Class in the 73rd and 69th Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals respectively.
