Welcome to the channel! This is the place where you can learn British Sign Language and become more deaf aware. I am a hearing BSL user and have been using BSL for over 15 years. Subscribe to the channel for BSL and Deaf awareness videos every week!
PLEASE NOTE: I speak in my videos to help hearing viewers understand and learn the signs. However, when practising/using BSL with a Deaf BSL user, you should turn your voice OFF.
ABOUT BSL:
British Sign Language is a visual language and is the preferred language of the British Deaf Community and is an official language of the UK. BSL is a language, distinct from English, with its own grammar and syntax. BSL has regional variations; different signs used in different parts of Britain. This channel tends to use regional signs used in London and the South East of England.
