Motown Museum
Motown Museum – Hitsville U.S.A. is the original birthplace of the Motown Sound, where many of your favorite hit songs were recorded. One of Southeastern Michigan's most popular tourist destinations, the museum attracts thousands of visitors annually from across the nation and around the globe.
Founded in 1985 by Esther Gordy Edwards, the Museum's mission is to preserve the legacy of Motown Record Corporation and to educate and motivate people—especially youth—through exhibitions and programs that promote the values of vision, creativity and entrepreneurship. The Museum is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
