we're derrik and hunter. a husband and wife team building unique cabins in northern michigan.
in 2021, we bought our first piece of land with a simple dream: to create some of the best and most unique vacation rentals in the midwest. north of nowhere is where we document it all - our cabin builds, behind-the-scenes moments, lessons learned, and the growing life we’re building.
hunter is an avid traveler who has visited over 51 countries, and derrik is a content creator and cpa. we share our lives with our two dogs, memphis and tully, and our daughter, whitley, who are our whole world.
