UW WISH
The WWAMI Institute for Simulation in Healthcare connects over 30 departments and programs throughout UW Medicine Health, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, and Physician’s Assistant Training Program (MEDEX); provides training in the areas of procedural and patient management skills, interprofessional education, and team communication. In short, the Institute strives to improve the quality of healthcare education through technology, providing learners with a safe training environment where they can learn and practice their skills before ever using them on a patient.
Mission Statement
WISH has, as its primary goal, to provide leadership in the use of simulation technologies to improve the quality of healthcare education and improve patient safety and outcomes. The Institute seeks collaborative alliances in selected projects with other educational and health care delivery systems with similar missions
