Christiane Pors
Christiane Pors, a native of Hamburg, received her B.M and M.M degrees at the North Carolina School of the Arts and the Manhattan School of Music as student of Erick Friedman, a protégé of Jasha Heifetz. Ms. Pors co-founded the Suzuki Violin Program at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. She was on the violin faculty of the Third Street Music School Settlement from 1982-2000, and on the violin faculty at the Lucy Moses School for Music and Dance at the Kaufman Music Center from 2000-2015. Ms. Pors became a member of the Artist Faculty of the String Studies Program at the Steinhardt School at New York University in 2014.
