About the text overlays on the commercial stuff:
They are there to protect the clips from being ripped by other video services or users who will just re-brand them with their own logos. I am posting material here as a 'look into the past,' and I do respect the copyright owners. If I am asked to take down the clips, I'll do it, no need to DMCA, just ask. However, I do feel that the attribution listed in the short clips DOES actually promote the items being shown and is equivalent to free marketing.

So, yes, some other users may post 'clean' clips of some of this stuff, but others are also posting ego-branded copies of the same material. I chose the middle path of recognizing the owners, w/o adding my own 'ego patch.'
