Sanda Municipal Symphonic Band / 三田市吹奏楽団
Sanda Municipal Symphonic Band was formed in 1987,based in Sanda City, Hyogo,Japan.
The group consists of about 60 members of a wide range of ages, including working adults, students, high school students,
housewives, and post-retirement baby boomers.
The main activities of the band include Regular Concert and Christmas concert,and participated in the Symphonic Band Contest.
In June 2000, we invited Mr. Yoshihiro Kimura, honorary conductor of Japan's oldest professional brass band "Osaka Municipal Music Band",as a guest conductor, and held the 10th Regular Concert.
In September 2000, we invited Frederick Fennell, to hold a "Band Clinic (Public Lesson)" and perform as a model band for the course.
In addition, we are developing activities that emphasize interaction with citizens, such as music appreciation parties and requested performances in the city area.
