My name is Valerie, but you can call me Val. I am from Southern Louisiana. My channel will explore an assortment of interests including those listed below and that’s why I chose the name, “Val's Curious Compass”.
My love for traveling was sparked when my grandparents took me on my first Amtrak train ride from Louisiana to Maine, and then to Canada when I was 10. As we travel, I'll review modes of transportation, accommodations, local eateries & interesting activities that we do in the area.
Metal Detecting & Magnet Fishing have become 2 of my favorite outdoor activities. The thrill of discovery keeps it engaging & motivating. You never know what you’ll find!
