In late 2024 / 2025 I completed a through hike of the Appalachian Trail. I started SOBO from Katahdin in September and continued South through Maine in November until the weather stopped me. I restarted in February from Springer in GA and hiked North in a traditional manner, completing at Katahdin. With over half the trail complete as a section hike, this afforded me the quickest way to complete the trail after retirement while also attempting a thru hike.
