Ministry of Information-AKS
The Ministry of Information, Akwa Ibom State is one of the core government ministries, established shortly after the creation of the State on October 6, 1987. Originally known as the Ministry of Information and Social Development, the Ministry has evolved over the years, reflecting the priorities of successive Military and Civilian administrations.
It has been known at different times as the Bureau of Information and Culture, Ministry of Information and Social Re-orientation, and Ministry of Information and Communications. Today, it operates under the name Ministry of Information.
Akwa Ibom is a state in Nigeria. It is located in the coastal southern part of the country, lying between latitudes 4°32′N and 5°33′N, and longitudes 7°25′E and 8°25′E. The state is bordered on the east by Cross River, on the west by Rivers and Abia States, and on the south by the Atlantic Ocean and the southernmost tip of Cross River State.
