Peter served with the British Parachute Regiment, 22 SAS, Rhodesian SAS, British South Africa Police's Special Branch, 44 Parachute Brigade and whilst in 44, he assisted with the creation of a new pathfinder reconnaissance unit. Peter has also been a mercenary soldier, fighting for the National Liberation Front of Angola. In 1989, he was asked to kill Pablo Escobar and the mission was called "Operation Phoenix"
Later on in life he became a bodyguard instructor in Russia and undertook security work in Algeria and Iraq for several years.
Peter featured on SAS A Soldiers Story, along with Rusty Firmin, John McAleese etc.
He has wrote two books "No Mean Soldier" and "McAleese's Fighting Manual"
There's a documentary out about Operation Phoenix called "Killing Escobar"
