The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, the art collection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, is internationally renowned for its outstanding treasures of classic and postwar modernism and contemporary art. At its two venues, K20 and K21, it presents art in its international context and develops innovative exhibition and event formats that engage the urban community in a sustained dialogue. Located on Grabbeplatz, K20 showcases masterworks from the collection of classic modernism and art after 1945. The programming at K21 Ständehaus emphasizes presentations of interdisciplinary positions in contemporary art. Both venues are vital public scenes and open to everyone.
