My name's David and I live in Ireland, where I have worked as a journalist for my whole career. I’m a real history buff and I also like to write historical fiction.

The idea behind this channel is to collate fascinating snippets from the past. Here, you'll hear about the supporting actors in some of the past's most significant events -- or maybe some quirky happening that has been all but forgotten about.
