Alex Soloviev

ALEX SOLOVIEV is the first electronic harmonist of Russia.
He is the founder and leader of the band named “High School”. Over the last ten years he has built his name and won international recognition based on his sheer talent.

Soloviev's love affair with the harmonica began the first time he heard Pera Joe in 2004. He studied under Alexander Bratetsky and later developed his own method of harp instructions, published his own work book and founded his own school. He has been influenced by many great harpers including Chris "Daddy" Dave, Avishai Cohen, and Hiatus Kaioyte.

Soloviev's music style is rooted in the blues, but touches upon harp hop, blues house and shuffle hop. His repertoire includes pieces from famous composers of many different genres.

Soloviev has played at numerous international music festivals and on renowned stages. In 2009, he performed as a session musician at the concerts of Mud Morganfield, the son of the great Muddy Waters.
