Kalacakra

Starting from the city of culture, Solo, Indonesia, five musicians from various backgrounds assembled under the Seniman Eling Gusti community. The musicians consisting of Tyok (Vocals), Guguk (Lead Guitar), Malik (Guitar & Sound Engineer), Bonvaya (Drums), and Breffy (Bass) have long been involved in the metal music scene. The five of them formed the band Kalacakra as a tool for expressing their ideas about amalgamation of ethnic and metal music. The traditional music that represented is not only sourced from one particular origin, but from various kinds of musical cultures throughout the world. Not only just creating music, these musicians try to display philosophical meanings in each of their works, such as the meaning of the sound and tone, the relationship with God, the relationship between humans, nature and the problems behind it.
