My artist name is Shambien and I am from Italy (altough I lived abroad in the Netherlands and in the USA for several years). I am from Gen-X.
I studied classical piano as a kid and then I taught myself to play the guitar. As a teen I have played in metal, punk and darkwave bands... until I discovered electronic music and raves in the 90's.
I slowed down my music production for over 25 years as I was working regular jobs (I worked at major IT corporations such as Microsoft for several years) and raising a family and kids. The 'kids' are now much older (two of three are adults) and I started making music more often, again. We now live in the countryside, in Italy, off grid.
Most of my tracks are the results of playing around and jamming, depending on my mood at the time and not sticking to one genre, following the flow of inspiration and often recorded in one take without composing in a DAW.
