The Himalayan Club
The Himalayan Club (HC) was founded on 17th February 1928 with the objective "To encourage and assist Himalayan travel and exploration, and to extend knowledge of the Himalaya and adjoining mountain ranges through science, art, literature and sport."
The Club, therefore, continues in its main mission by offering a meeting ground for its members - talks, slide-shows and films are organised regularly.
HC hosts the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour in India and also organizes various other film screenings across the country. The annual illustrated talks series like the Arun Samant Memorial Lecture Series, Kaivan Mistry Memorial Lecture attract packed audiences
