Unleashing the creative & spiritual force within you, while mastering the saxophone is what this channel is all about. During the past 45 yrs, I've been fortunate to have worked with artists like Max Roach, Jimmy Heath, Terence Blanchard, Donald Harrison, Ellis & Wynton Marsalis, Jon Hendricks, & Diane Schurr. In 2022, I was diagnosed with an incurable neurological disease, Myasthenia Gravis and consequently suffered respiratory failure later that year. After a miraculous revival in the hospital and experiencing God, I am so thankful to play sax again. Using the remaining time I have, I intend to leave a repository of music theory, understanding, and spiritual wisdom for all growing saxophonists!
My mentor/teacher was Arnie Lawrence, who was a guru jazz saxophonist. He played with Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Ben Webster, Benny Goodman, Phil Woods, Sonny Rollins, Stan Getz, Max Roach, & many others.
