CTA Red Line Extension
Welcome to the official channel for the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Red Line Extension Project! 🚇
The Red Line Extension (RLE) is a transformative initiative to extend the iconic Red Line from its current terminal at 95th/Dan Ryan to 130th Street, adding 5.6 miles of new service. This project will feature four fully accessible stations near 103rd Street, 111th Street, Michigan Avenue, and 130th Street, with multimodal connections for buses, bikes, pedestrians, and park & ride facilities.
Here, you’ll find success stories, community updates, project highlights, and behind-the-scenes content showcasing how the RLE is connecting communities, improving access, and driving growth on Chicago's South Side. Stay tuned to learn more about the people, businesses, and neighborhoods shaping the future of transit in Chicago.
