Why call it "gospel" music? "Gospel" is a Bible term referring to "good news." The good news is this: God has made a way for sinners to be made right with Him through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross, bore the punishment for sin, and rose again in victory over death. Jesus now reigns in heaven, offering forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life in God’s presence to everyone who, through faith in the sufficient sacrifice of Jesus, repents of sin and trusts solely in Jesus for salvation.
