Penthouse 7 started off as a 1-hour show on GMA-7, one of the top Broadcasting television Networks in Manila, Philippines, every Sunday evening. Hosted by Archie Lacson, the show was made up of the the “Modern Group”: Ronnie Henares, Raul Monasterio, Jojo Abella, Mike Monserrat, Helen Garchitorena, Anna Garcia, Joannie Feliciano, Ida Ramos, Sandy Hontiveros and Gina Valenciano, Pipo Liboro, RayAn Fuentes, Eddie Boy Santos, Manolet Santos, and Poncy Quirino. Popular dance steps like the Swing, Locking, the Robot, the Bump, and many more were popularized by the show. Adding to the best of dancing were members of the Latin Group: Susan Payawal, Rosie Garchitorena, Nini Morato, Eva Abesamis, Tito Garcia, Rudy de Leon, Angie Pineda, and some notable celebrities of the day.
