Kammarmusikens vänner i Allhelgonakyrkan

"Friends of Chamber Music at the Allhelgonakyrkan (All saints church)", an independent association of audience members, has supported chamber music concerts given in this 100-year old church in Stockholm, Sweden, since 1999. More than thirty years ago our artistic director, pianist Bengt Forsberg, began inviting fellow musicians to perform all kinds of classical chamber music. Hundreds of concerts have been given here by leading artists, in one of the city's most suitable venues. The church is a wooden structure seating less than 300 where concerts are given monthly during the season, as well as during an intense 4-day festival in summer. Often the emphasis is on seldom performed composers, not least Swedish ones, and unusual combinations of instruments. KVAH acts as a voluntary support organization and handles all practical matters concerning the concerts, while the Katarina congregation contributes by making the church available for us.
