Spark Media
Spark's deep roots are in activist storytelling that fosters social and institutional change. But we don't just tell stories. We crystallize messages through our programming and give voice to needed perspectives outside the mainstream. By building partnerships with stakeholders, we extend our ability to create the change that will contribute to a better, healthier, and more inclusive society.
Spark Media was founded by film director and producer Andrea Kalin in 1989. Since its inception the Washington, D.C.-based company has specialized in making meaningful documentary films that build bridges between diverse cultures and perspectives. Spark Media strives to both inform and inspire audiences with stories that are compelling, entertaining and real. Spark's stories connect people, changing one family, one community, one struggle at a time.
