International Channel Shanghai, or ICS, is the only comprehensive variety TV Channel in the Chinese Mainland broadcasting in English, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese.
Launched on January 1st, 2008, ICS aims to enhance Shanghai's global impact, to show the true face of this great city, and to improve the world's understanding and appreciation of Shanghai. ICS always strives to become the top information channel for audiences at home and abroad to know about Shanghai.
ICS broadcasts 24 hours a day. The schedule includes 6 hours of first-run programs, more than 3 hours of which are locally produced. Programs include news and information, fashion and entertainment, language teaching, talk shows and English-language movies.
