Sam J. Botts Productions
I began photographing trains in 1982 when I was 12 years old. In 1985 I bought my first video camera and started filming trains with it. Over the years I have filmed a lot of footage even while photography has been my primary focus. Today my main interest is engines that boil water as everything now looks pretty much the same. In the 90's and early 2000's I used to do the train show circuit selling video tapes and later DVD's of the footage I filmed and the movies I had bought and transferred. In 1995 I started my railroad career as the train dispatcher at Steamtown NHS. Today I work for a class 1 railroad and am rapidly approaching my 30-year anniversary in the industry.
