Ka Yuk Yam

Born in Hong Kong in 1998, pianist Rose Ka Yuk Yam is passionate about both performance and pedagogy. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Music degree at the University of Alberta under the mentorship of Dr. Zhenni Li-Cohen. Rose developed a love for teaching early in life and has accumulated more than a decade of piano teaching experience, bringing warmth, creativity, and dedication to her students.

An active performer, she has appeared with orchestras such as the Asian Chamber Orchestra (Hong Kong) and the University of Alberta Symphony Orchestra, and has participated in festivals including the Rushmore Music Festival (USA) and “Lato z Chopinem” in Poland. She is also a collaborative pianist in high demand, performing in chamber recitals, instrumental and vocal studios, and regional saxophone conferences across Canada. Known for her vibrant and engaging musical spirit, Rose is committed to inspiring young musicians and contributing meaningfully to the musical community.
