I've lived in various areas of the country and I like to incorporate those cultures and flavors in my cooking. I grew up watching my mother cook everything from elegant meals to New Orleans style gumbo! She was a fantastic cook and she passed on her love of cooking to me! My mom and grandmother were from AL, so we had plenty of down-home, lip-smacking, soul food on our table. In fact, every Sunday my grandmother made fried chicken, rice & gravy!
I love trying new recipes, experimenting with new and different spices, and putting a new twist on the traditional recipes!
