Cedar City, Utah
Cedar City was founded in 1851 as an ironworks settlement by pioneers. With an estimated population of 43,000, the city has a diverse economy based on tourism, agriculture, education (Southern Utah University), and some mining. Known as the "Festival City" because of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, it is also considered the gateway to Utah's National Parks due to its proximity to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument and many other beautiful sites.
