Absar Alam
Absar Alam is a senior Pakistani journalist, and Nieman Fellow at Harvard 2005. He formerly worked for The New York Times, CNN, The Boston Globe, Tokyo Shimbun and a number of premier Pakistani news organisations such as Geo, SAMAA, Dunya, AAJ and Daily The Nation. He also served as the Chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
He is well known for his in-depth analysis of political, geopolitical, and economic issues. Absar is outspoken in his criticism of the establishment’s role in politics and does not shy away from addressing sensitive or controversial topics in his commentary.
On his YouTube channel, he shares uncensored opinions and insights that are often not aired on mainstream media platforms.
