Summary (thus far):
Bindiya Prasad is the female protagonist of the show who is the eldest daughter of the house and lives with her 2 sisters, Poonam & Reenu along with a brother Raja with her parents. Then there is Mamaji who is Bindiya's mama and is a policeman. Its a middle-class family with their dad as a very honest man. Bindiya has been shown to be not as attractive or have a lot of wealth backing her so fixing her marriage has been quite a task for her family. She's done her M.A.

Vinay Sinha is the male protagonist of the show. He's a college student who loves exercising control over fellow students because of his financial background. He is the youngest of 3 brothers. The oldest one is Akhilesh married to PPW. Akhilesh comes across as a tough and rough guy but has a heart of gold. PPW is truly an evil character and is very materialistic. Second Brother is Bimlesh and he is a very honest and forthright person; is a journalist and is always supporting the truth in all matters. That's why he does not get along with his family much. He ends up falling in love with Bindiya's younger sister Poonam and gets married to her afterwards. Then there is Vinay's aunt (his dad's sister) named Tillori Bua (or TB). She lives with them since her husband, Uma, left her after marriage. Her daughter's name is "Rekha" and she ends up getting married to Bindiya's brother, Raja. Vinay's dad had practiced forced marriage in his family first by getting TB married to Uma at gunpoint in the past. So when the same happens with Vinay but the role is reversed, TB is the only and the first supporter of Bindiya in the house due to what has transpired with her earlier. Bimlesh is the 2nd supporter of Bindiya.

Then there is Vinay's uncle, Nageshwar and his wife. Nageshwar has been in jail before and is not shown to be a good man but towards the end, his heart softens up for Bindiya since Bindiya supports him when he is wrongfully accused of kidnapping Vinay for ransom by Uma. It was Uma's plan to frame Nageshwar and gain entry into the house to destroy the Sinha family for what they did to him years ago. However, this plan is uncovered by Bindiya later on with the support of Akhilesh and Bimlesh. Nageshwar has an idle & wandering son named "Kunwar". He had bad intentions for Bindiya. He was later thrown out of the house for throwing acid on Vinay's sister-in-law.
