Blossom Dearieのようなジャズでクロスオーバーなポップスにチャレンジしようとしていたキーボードのタカハラカズミ（Trans of Life）が、透明感溢れるハーフトーンヴォイスの持ち主、佐藤史果を誘って結成。
ちょっとだけ背伸びをしたおしゃれ感覚と、感傷的な気分に浸れる音楽が、a melting moodの目指す世界です。
1970-80年代のAOR, Fusion, MPB, City Pop あたりが好きな方に是非聴いていただきたいです。
2019年、やついフェス2019出演。
2020年、Ano(t)raksのコンピレーション「STEPS 01」に参加。
