This channel presents mostly (as sheet music) rarely played piano compositions or piano arrangements. I played all the works myself. Some compositions and arrangements can be heard here for the first time ever or on YouTube. I only select pieces that I consider worth hearing anew or again because they are in some way original, particularly well done, well arranged or worth listening to. From time to time I also offer musicological-anecdotal background information. Since my youth I have been particularly fascinated by Eastern music, but also by the music of Spain and Latin America, as well as the Gershwins.

I myself am a qualified musician (conductor, pianist, vocal coach) and Master of Musicology from Germany, living, playing, conducting and teaching in Switzerland. I have so far recorded mainly more sustained pieces. This is because, in keeping with my broader activities as a musician, I perceive the melodies on the piano as conductor and singer and try to lead them accordingly.
