Rainbow History Project
The Rainbow History Project was founded in 2000 and its mission is to collect, preserve, and promote an active knowledge of the history, arts, and culture of metropolitan Washington DC’s diverse LGBTQ+ communities. Our main projects include:
• Oral History Interviews
• Walking Tours and Social Geography
• Panel Presentations
• Archiving documents, manuscripts, and photographs at our partner, the D.C. History Center
• Recognizing community pioneers
• Research Assistance
Further information about RHP, this collection, or its analog archives, can be found on its website: www.rainbowhistory.org, or by contacting [email protected]. The Rainbow History Project respects the copyright and intellectual property rights associated with the materials in its collection. To the best of its knowledge, these items are either in the public domain; are orphaned works; and/or had their rights for public display transferred to RHP.
