Neil Maya Music

Neil works full time within music.

Neil plays the sax and clarinet professionally as well as teaches clarinet, sax, improvisation and music theory in Totnes. Neil also runs workshops within jazz and also is musical director for the South Devon Big Band. Neil also arranges and composes.
Neil plays regularly with a number of bands including the Neil Maya Quartet, The Drat Pack, Lush Life and Solar. Neil often performs within the jazz genre and similar styles but his roots still lie in classical music which he still adores and he also loves playing salsa, funk, soul, motown, blues and more. Neil plays soprano, alto and tenor sax and clarinet.

Neil reads, plays by ear and improvises. For the sax he has his own wireless bug mic and IEMs.
