Italian DJ with roots in Southern California (Orange County 714), Orly Sad is a key figure in the Modern Funk and Hip Hop scenes.
He is known for his "funkateer" style. His work often incorporates electro-funk grooves and is popular with fans of funk and boogie music. A long-time collaborator of the Funk Freaks collective, he has taken part in several editions of the “I Am The Funk” tour since its inception, building strong ties with West Coast funk culture.
Through his mixtapes, Orly Sad curates rare vinyl gems, alternate versions, remixes and hard-to-find tracks – ranging from 80s Boogie and Funk to West Coast G-Funk and underground Hip Hop.
