The sounds of Washington Square Park in New York City have been a constant in my life since I first came to New York in 1964. My videos tend to be of interesting events and performances in Washington Square Park or by park performers in other locations around the city. I use my playlists as a soundtrack for my life when I am not actually in the park or even the city, especially in bad weather when not much activity occurs out there. Many of the performers have been friends for many years and some have even died or moved from New York and I find it increasingly soothing to have these snippits of things the way they were. I am now in the process of posting some of my videos to a new site that I'm working on washingtonsquareparkerz.com, where all things park related are gathered.
