Magherafelt High School

Magherafelt High School is a non-selective, co-educational 11- 18 post primary school situated in the town of Magherafelt.
As a school, we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of every pupil and challenging them to be the best that they can be which is encapsulated in our school motto – “aspiring to the success of the individual”. Magherafelt High School has become the choice for pupils who want to do well, both academically and socially and as a school we play an important role within the Magherafelt and Rural Learning Partnership.

Good relationships are at the heart of our school and we are focused on caring for our pupils from when they arrive in Year 8 until they leave either in Year 12 or Year 14. We provide an excellent pastoral programme in school and recently was awarded with an Investors in Mental Health Award for recognition of our work promoting positive mental health in school.
