The Puca Studio

Púca are shape-shifting troublemakers. Legends say that the Púca can change into horses, goats, cats, donkeys, bulls, dogs, foxes, wolves, and hares, though always with jet-black fur. Horses bearing sleek coats, wild manes and flaming eyes are the most common animal shape of these mischievous fairies. When in human form, these fairies still bear animalistic characteristics.

We want to channel the mischievous and eclectic nature of the Púca to bring you stories of the everyday history, traditions and folklore of Ireland. We also want to draw on the dark nature of the Púca, to bring you the dark, bizarre and supernatural world we Irish love, all this coupled with modern Ireland and general dark gothic and horror material.

So we welcome you into our community where you can follow us into the otherworld of myth, mystery, macabre and magic, with a good sprinkling of history and modern Ireland, all presented with Irish irreverence and Púca mischief.
