We live in a fast paced, global world, a world that can display at times overwhelming compassion and at other times a frightening capacity for evil and it is in this world that the Church, with all of its bumps and bruises stands as a house of hope for all people. The Church of Jesus Christ is the only institution on earth that is stamped with eternality. When Christ makes his triumphal return, he is returning for the church, every other institution will perish. It's often said here at New Prospect Baptist Church, that if Jesus set up a church, "upon this rock...", and if he is coming back for a church, "without spot wrinkle or blemish", "then maybe I need to be in a church".
