For over four decades, our group has been delivering the soulful sounds of traditional Tsonga music. Led by the celebrated Dr. Thomas Chauke, born on September 14, 1957, in Xinyori village, Limpopo—he began playing guitar at age 8 and quickly emerged as a local talent. In 1980, he formed The Shinyori Sisters, and by 1986, their debut album "Shinyori" captivated audiences across South Africa.

In 1996, Dr. Chauke earned a Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of Venda for his outstanding contributions to Tsonga music and culture.
